My Programming Skills
Programming is something I can't escape, it drives me mad if I haven't coded something cool at least every week!
LuaIn 2012, I wanted to learn LUA so that I could create anything I wanted in Garry's Mod.
I studied, followed tutorials, practiced until I could eventually make what I wanted without restriction. 50,000 lines later I am able to plan and construct the logic of entire gamemodes in my head. Keeping my code as efficient and easy to write and read as possible. My best gamemode being Freerun, following my passion for skill based movement in games. I've worked on many different scripts for various applications in gmod such as my Murder Customizer. Visual ScriptingUnreal's Blueprint and Material Editors are the most handy tools for rapid game prototyping.
Before UE4 was released, I used the dreaded Kismet for the logic behind my Chicken Chaser game. Some see Blueprints as not "real programming", I couldn't disagree more. It is almost the same, just without syntax, memory management and spelling mistakes! Nearly all of my UE4 games are made entirely out of Blueprints and I am so thankful to Epic Games for making game dev so much faster and easier! |
Expression 2Expression 2 is a language similar to C#, it is found in Garry's Mod, part of the 'Wiremod' addon.
