BHOP ARCHIVES |
I always wanted to make a bhop map but never got around to finishing one. As a sequel to my Deathrun_Archives map, I made Bhop_Archives and livestreamed almost all of it!
The idea behind bhop archives was to make a simple bhop map that people could speedrun through, it was very long and at the end it would explain why the map was called archives; The enemy from Half-Life 2 (The Combine) created a vast library of locations and realities that they'd teleport to. At the end of the map it would show this library, some of the images on the screens in that room were of old abandoned maps I worked on in the past. |
After it was finished, I posted it on the Sassilization Forums, however it took 3 weeks before I even got to test it and when I did, the blocks were spaced too far apart, making it impossibly hard to finish! I tried adding more blocks to which the map went over vertex limit and I couldn't compile it.
The map went into obscurity and has been played on old CSS Bhop pro servers; Classed as one of the hardest maps to finish because of the difficulty of the starting area. |
